About

Tracey and I were married in 1977, Tracey was 18 and I was a few months into 19. We were just kids. We grew up together in our marriage of 41 plus years. We struggled through college together, poor but happy as we could be. When we thought of that the day before Tracey crossed over I said, “I’d give anything to be back in Raleigh living in that apartment, poor as hell but happy.” We were riding in the car listening to a Boz Skaggs cd, the song “Harbor Lights.” It sure brought back a flood of great memories. We fought all of life’s battles together and in the end we faced the biggest battle together, Tracey told me “You are my rock” but I could not fight her battle for her, I would have given anything to trade places but fate doesn’t work like that. So my soul mate has gone on ahead and left me to finish my course. It is a gut wrenching spiritual journey so far and I suspect it will be until I am with my Tracey again.
