Tour

We start in merry old England, our friends there have set up quite the tour of England and most importantly SCOTLAND. Tracey will be riding and traveling with me where ever I go…The story behind this picture. Every year we could we’d gather with friends in Marlinton, WV in the twisties. Tracey and I were leading a small group ride around the area. Not long after this picture we were going along and I saw two sport bike riders gaining on our group from behind. Well, they passed us. We had Sena headsets and I ask (I’d learned this from experience) “what about it”. Tracey said “go for it”. Tracey and I could ride as one so we ran them down. I’d have loved to have seen their faces if we’d pulled our helmets off…Off to invade the UK. Arrived at Heathrow this morning about 7;40.Rosemary and Steve picked me up at the airport after a trip of 43 miles walking across heathrow to the customs check and baggage claim. I got a 2 hour nap and I’m fixing to hit the sack. Maybe I’ll dodge serious jet lag….Oh yea, Steve had a mic and sound board so I got in a bit of practice. Now to find an open mic.Tracey loves flowers. A few pictures from the Castle Ashby

Started the tour Sunday night at Dogtown. A really special place amongst new friends I’ve made on this journey.

Hot trip at the end, rolled into Shamrock it was 108 f

Just out side McLean Texas

After seein oil fields and flat Texas land and battling a stiff cross wind  for hours whilst running 85mph I was glad to see Utah Mesas’ as I crossed the line into Utah

Then I rolled into the Rockies and this is my view from the Airbnb i’m At tonight

Rode to Durango on Monday. A beautiful ride with temps in the 70s for much of it, of course when I dropped down into Darango temps rose to around 98 and the traffic picked up with motor homes crawling along. Stayed the night with some great folks in there home as they offer an Airbnb. See the spiritual journey page.

left Durango this morning heading to Hanksville, Utah. What an amazing day.

Twin Buttes outside of Durango.

Fuel stop Dove Creek, Colorado. Past by Heavens Tears with tears already in my eyes since I saw Dove Creek was ahead, rolled into Dove Creek with the Dove guitar, I’m flying low in the wings of a Dove, with Tracey by my side.

Leaving Dove Creek, that’s Utah ahead.

i rolled in to Vegas to see an old friend. What can I say about Vegas, Sin City, well all I can say is it is most definitely a spiritually dead place. Though with the open mic night in a hip hope bar, Money Plays, I was encouraged by the people I met there. Though from a completely different world the folks there never expected the songs I played and they received the songs with an open spirit. I think they actually stopped and thought about what I sang. Needless to say, I’m hauling the guitar and myself away tomorrow. 0FF3A44D-7C70-4EF5-8A7F-5F650F80566B

The best thing I saw in Vegas. The moon let me know something is real beyond this town. But just outside of Vegas is Red Rock Canyon, a special place.

Then I headed up the straightest road in Nevada. The biggest event was passing the Joshua Trees of the upper Mojeva.

And rolling through Tonopah (Willin).

After returning home I’ve been so busy writing and working on the music I’ve completely ignored my web presence. But I’m back to update now.

These last pictures were in the California hills. So, I’ll start back from this point.

Left Cali and rolled up thru east Oregon with a stop in Lake View for the night.

Then on up to Idaho were I stayed with my friends Myra and Jerry on Lake Coeur d’Alene. The picture at sunset after an open mic in Coeur d’Alene and the smoke from all the western fires during the hottest summer on record is evident.

From Coeur d’Alene to Canada with smoke in tow.
